What the script does
It is a short bash script. It needs no administrator rights (no sudo).
- It checks that Node.js 24 or newer and npm are installed.
- It downloads the signed release index (index.json and index.jws), then the CLI package from the address that the index names.
- It checks the download (see below). If anything does not match, it stops and installs nothing.
- It installs the CLI into
~/.tealbrick/cli/<version>, switches acurrentlink to the new version in one step, keeps the previous version for rollback, and links~/.local/bin/tealbrick.
tealbrick self-update later uses the same path and the same checks.
It runs on macOS and Linux, with bash, Node.js 24 or newer and npm.
Check it before you run it
Read the script first. It is a plain text file:
curl -fsSL https://tealbrick.com/install.shHow the script checks what it installs:
- The release index is signed (EdDSA, JWS). The script checks the signature against the Tealbrick signing keys that are written into the script itself.
- The CLI package must match the SHA-256 and SHA-512 checksums in the signed index.
- The script is the root of trust. It is served over HTTPS from tealbrick.com, so read it before you run it.
Remove it
The uninstall command appears here when the installer is published.
This removes the CLI and its link only. It never touches your agent folders or keys.
